Hawaii Part 1

We took a last minute vacation to the island of Kauai this summer. It was more beautiful than we could have imagined and the weather was perfect. It wasn't too challanging to travel with the kids and Grace had a blast swimming everyday in the ocean and or the resort pool. The hardest part was readjusting to the time change once we got home. I took plenty of pictures and will spread them out over a few posts. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we did visiting the island!

Peyton enjoyed teething on cold slices of fresh pineapple.

Gracie and Daddy.

Mommy and the girls hanging out before dinner.

Peyton's first dip in the ocean!

One of Gracie's many vacation play buddies.

The beach at our resort.

Our beach/poolside cabana. Great spot to get out of the sun and Peyton enjoyed taking her afternoon naps here.

Posing in one of the many orchid gardens.

Random landscape photo while driving around the island.

The local vegetation was amazing to say the least.

The view behind Tunnel's Beach.

We really enjoyed coming to this spot. It was made famous when local surfer Bethany Hamilton survived a shark attack here. You can google it if you want all the gory details. It was a beautiful beach and we spent 2 days hanging out here.

Another random beach on the way to Tunnel's.

Walking around the grounds of our hotel.

The view from our balcony.

Great pictures! I wish I could find some of the photos from our family trip to Hawaii back in 1985(?). I think the place we stayed in Kauai was very close to Poipu.
